EWR Airport Parking Options

Newark Liberty International Airport

Newark Liberty International Airport was the first major airport in the United States when it opened in 1928. Today, it remains one of the most popular airports for those traveling to New York.

EWR has one terminal and four runways. Its airport code comes from the letters in Newark, as the Navy uses codes starting with the letter N. As a way of honoring United Airlines Flight 93 which was hijacked on the day of the 9/11 attack, “Liberty” was added to the airport name in 2002.

Taxis can be fairly expensive to get to Manhattan so you may opt for public transportation on the Air Train instead.

Parking is also a bit pricey, at least for airport-owned lots. Check out private or hotel lots for savings on long-term parking at EWR.
