AUS Airport Parking Options

Austin–Bergstrom International Airport

Known as a carbon-neutral airport with a level 3+ accreditation rating, AUS has two terminals, namely: Barbara Jordan Terminal and South Termial.

There are several shopping and restaurant options in the Barbara Jordan Terminal, which also happens to be the larger of the two terminals. There are also several permanent art and architectural features in the terminal.

The South Terminal at the airport is small but has many features like a food truck on the outside patio. It has an outdoor deck where passengers can relax while waiting for their flight departures. The South Terminal has a shuttle bus to take passengers to the Barbara Jordan Terminal if they need to get to another connecting flight not serviced by the South Terminal.

    FAQ's

Depending on your lot and whether you choose to park on the airport or at one of the many 3rd party offsite lots, you can expect to pay between $10 and $27. All on-airport lots have a $5 per hour short-term rate. See our price tables above for more information about specific parking options.

Yes, AUS/ABIA offers a free cell phone parking lot for those drivers pickup up airline travelers. This is not a lot to be used by airline travelers. Those parking in this lot must stay with their car at all times. See the veteran parking discount below for more information on free parking at AUS/ABIA.

Generally, hotel lots have the cheapest daily rates. 3rd party booking fees can mean those lots cost more than expected. Otherwise, third-party lots like Fast Park & Relax offer daily parking rates as low as $10.

No, there is no valet parking option available for any on-airport parking lots. Check with the individual 3rd party parking lots to see what additional services they offer.

The only parking lot on airport property that offers EV charging is the cell phone pick-up lot. Several 3rd party lots have available electric vehicle charging stations available. Check with individual lot websites for more information on availability.

Yes. There is a cell phone waiting lot at AUS/ABIA where you can park for free while waiting to pick up airline passengers. The lot has a gas station, EV charging stations, and multiple fast food options to better the experience. NOTE - You must stay with your car at all times when using the cell phone lot at AUS/ABIA.

There are multiple available covered parking options. Most of the off-site third-party lots offer covered parking as a part of their regular rate services. Check the individual parking providers to see the offering specifics. On the airport grounds, you can find covered parking in the following locations:

    • Red Parking Garage
    • Blue Parking Garage

You can park your motorcycle at any lot on or off the airport grounds. It is smart, though to choose a lot that has 24/7 security monitoring and a covered lot to best protect your motorcycle while you are traveling.

The covered parking garages at AUS/ABIA have height restrictions that may prevent your ability to park an oversized vehicle:

    • Red Parking Garage height limit: 7'8"
    • Blue Parking Garage height limit: 8'0"
Short term hourly parking and reserved parking spaces are in these two parking garages, so be aware of the limitations to make sure you are able to park your oversized vehicle, safely.

If you lose your parking ticket for an on-airport lot, you'll be asked to pay the lot maximum for the duration of your stay.

The AUS/ABIA parking website does update the status of each lot to show "Open" or "Closed" depending on factors like space availability.
