BWI has only one U-shaped terminal with five concourses that surround the parking area at the center. Rated as one of the healthiest airports in the country, it proves to be one of the outstanding airports in North America. It was hailed as the best North American airport in its size category in the 2020 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards.

The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport was named after the first African-American to serve as a US Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall, who hails from Baltimore.

The ticketing area is on the terminal building's upper level. On the lower level, you can indulge in several cafes and restaurants.

You can spend time in the meditation room, gym space, or airport spa. BWI also has an Observation Gallery that has updated exhibits, including a rocket provided by NASA.
